The Mystery Of The God Of Elijah

2 Kings 2:11-14 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that behold, there behold there appeared a chariot of fire and horses of fire and parted them both asunder, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven: 14 And took the mantle that fell from him and smote the waters and said where is the Lord God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

What is the secret of this prophet Elisha and why did the prayers he prayed work like fire?

He took the mantle from Elijah and stood by Jordan and smite the water ( why did the prophet pray like this ) I believe they are teaching us the mystery of prayer.

The Bible described God in different ways, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, God of Israel, God of heaven and earth, God of love and peace, God of my righteousness etc.

Elisha knew there was no road maybe if he had stayed longer by the river wild animals would have devoured him. He was stuck by river Jordan and there was no way, where he could use as an alternative root.

You can experience God in different ways. When people are laying curses on you and you experience God as God of Abraham, all those curses will return to them.

The call of Abraham was a call of blessing. It was God Himself who said I will bless those that bless you and curse those that curse you.

So when you experience God as God of Abraham, anybody who is cursing your life is looking for trouble he can not really manage.Genesis 12:3

Pharaoh and his house were plagued because he took the wife of Abraham. When you experience God as Jehovah Shammah, you experience God that is always there.

When you experience God as Jehovah Nissi, you will be victorious. When you experience God as the I am that I am, it means there’s solution.

Elijah was described as the mightiest of all prophet, there was no record of his parents. He was the first prophet that locked up heaven and put the key in his pocket and he was also the first prophet that raised the dead. He was God’s surgical knife, a no-nonsense man.

The ministry of Elijah was dramatic and devastating. Elijah’s ministry was a prevailing prayer and confrontation, a prophet of fire, a man who disgraced the seventy prophets of Baal, a man of volcanic power and strength, a man of magnificent strength, he saw things in two ways right or wrong. He was God’s mouthpiece. He made demons bow and he demonstrated the power of God.

Elijah taught us that no matter your background, you can arise and shine. When you are confronting the enemy that confronted your parents and defeated them, when the Lazarus of your destiny has been buried, when the treasure of your life has been buried, there is only one prayer to be prayed.

Who is this God of Elijah? The God that respects fervent prayers, a God of stop them before they stop you, a God that creates a one man army, a God that killeth, a God that bringeth down to the grave, a God that declares the end from the beginning.

The big truth is this, some miracle will not manifest until you invite the sword of the God of Elijah, the bible says in the year that king Uzziah died then I Isaiah saw the Lord.

Who is this God? is a God that answereth by fire, fire is devastating and has no respect for liquid.
PRAYER.
